Nice article. We just call it Multiple-cloud, and we have the scale to utilize both towards a good level of operational excellence.

The refutation of cloud-agnosticity as a dev strategy seems a bit all or nothing. Having nice 12 factor docker containers running in Kubernetes, connecting to a database that's a PAAS on all clouds (hello Postgres) or on a multi-cloud vendor (hello CloudAMQP) means yes, you need to redo your networking and gateways and security groups, of course, but a rather giant chunk of code (and data) is extremely portable.
